Fahad says.

Working in security industry Fahad observed disparity in pay, benefits and working conditions which needs drastic improvement. Fahad says, “When we see there is a problem, most of us at some level know what the solution is, and almost all of us are waiting for some one to reform the system”, hence the reason why I founded “Alberta Security Guard Welfare Association”, where all people employed in security industry will work together to advocate for a fair living wage, basic benefits like sick leave, better working conditions, a pension and other necessities on a self help basis.

Through his experience, Razak has observed that security industry employees face significant challenges, including job insecurity, limited opportunities, pay disparity, unpredictable deployments, and exposure to hazardous conditions such as extreme weather and potential safety risks. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated platform to address the concerns security professionals. Additionally, there is very little to no analysis done to understand the factors behind the tragic fatalities that have occurred in recent years with security guards.

This lack of recognition and support motivated Razak to advocate for this often-overlooked community and work toward meaningful change.
